How to do the Time domain Simulation of Mooring for the wave induced vessel forces and responses at wave and drift frequency and the mooring stiffness curve without considering the mooring line dynamics?

Prabhakar,

You can do this by using a tension table (restoring force vs offset curve) to represent the mooring line. Out of the Time domain software that I am aware of SIMO ( from Marintek, and marketed by DNV) uses a tension table to represent the mooring line and does not do line dynamics.

Hope this answers your question.

Do let me know if you need anymore clarifications.

Regards

Jolly James
